Walk-in Cold Room Installation for Restaurants
Key considerations when installing commercial refrigeration and cold rooms.

Proper installation of walk-in cold rooms is critical for any restaurant, hotel, or catering business. Poor insulation or an undersized motor will not only skyrocket your electricity bills but also put your entire inventory at risk during the scorching Spanish summers.
Essential Considerations for Cold Rooms
- ▸Correct Sizing and Insulation: The thickness of the polyurethane panels must match the required temperature. A freezer room (-18ºC) requires significantly thicker insulation (usually 100mm or more) than a standard chiller (0ºC to 5ºC).
- ▸Proper Motor Selection (Compressor): Choosing between a monoblock unit (mounted directly on the panel) or a split system (where the noisy, heat-generating compressor is located outdoors or on the roof) depends on the layout of your kitchen and local noise regulations.
- ▸Ventilation: If the compressor is installed indoors without proper ventilation, it will overheat, fail prematurely, and turn your kitchen into a sauna.
